Dining, Entertainment & Shopping

Although Louisville has a cozy, peaceful appeal, there are more than enough highly-rated restaurants to eat out every day of the week. Moxie Bread Company encompasses a comfy, relaxed feel with cozy nooks and a quaint patio. It’s the perfect place to curl up with a great book, a fresh cup of coffee or tea, and a delicious pastry. The cafe serves breakfast and lunch options with an emphasis on freshly baked bread and sweets.

The Huckleberry is another fabulous dining option in Louisville. This colorful and eclectic diner is known for its country-style breakfast and flapjacks and is a fun option for both breakfast and lunch. In the afternoon, the grill turns out mouth-watering burgers alongside afternoon tea.

Sweet Cow is the perfect stop for those with a sweet tooth. Serving delicious frozen treats, Sweet Cow is a favorite venue during the warm summer months. Sweet Cow curates the best of classic flavors like Dutch chocolate and cookies and cream and also creates interesting takes on local ingredients like honey lavender and honey mint.

Like many towns in Colorado, Louisville is known for its fantastic selection of craft beer. Lucky Pie Pizza and Taphouse is a rustic Italian joint with a great selection of locally brewed craft beers. The funky, industrial atmosphere adds a layer of fun and entertainment as the kitchen turns out amazing pizzas created with local and seasonal ingredients.

Louisville also has a great selection of international fare. Busaba offers guests a taste of Thailand, with Thai classics like drunken noodles and pad Thai available here. Curries and noodles are the stars of this cozy restaurant, where guests can enjoy a cool Thai iced tea on the patio while they wait for their meal.

Things to Do

Louisville is anything but a sleepy mountain town and features plenty of community activities in addition to outdoor recreation. One of the best attractions is the Louisville Street Faire. On Friday evenings in the summer, the downtown streets of Louisville become a public concert for all residents. Local restaurant vendors sell craft beers, cocktails, and delicious eats, and music lights up the evening.

Louisville also hosts the Summer Concerts in the Park at Louisville Community Park on Thursdays. Guests are encouraged to bring their own picnic dinners and gather together to enjoy music, dance, and celebrate summer. Summer wouldn’t be complete without a Fourth of July celebration. Louisville holds an annual 4th of July Fireworks with snacks and entertainment for the entire community.

When the summer weather ends, there’s still plenty to do in Louisville to start the holiday season. WinterSkate offers ice skating in a premium downtown location with skate rentals, holiday decor, and snacks and drinks sold on-site.

Schools

Louisville is served by Boulder Valley Public Schools, a highly rated and award-winning district.
